Alcoholics Anonymous: Tuesdays - White Rock AA Group Meeting. 7:00 p.m.
We are a
Fellowship of men and women who have lost the ability to
control our drinking and have found ourselves in various
kinds of trouble as a result of drinking. We attempt—most of
us successfully—to create a satisfying way of life without
alcohol. For this we find we need the help and support of
other alcoholics in A.A.
Toastmasters:
Tuesdays at 7p.m.
Most Toastmasters meetings are comprised of approximately 20 people who meet weekly for an hour or two. Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian. There is no instructor; instead, each speech and meeting is critiqued by a member in a positive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved.
Good communicators tend to be good leaders.
