An All-American Celebration!
Join us in celebrating our freedom on
Sunday, July 4th immediately following service.
We will be meeting in the Activities Center for hot
dogs, apple pie and ice cream.

After Worship Service on Sunday,
July 11, 2010, the Education Committee will be hosting a
swimming party and cookout at the Clubhouse where Brent Seelar
lives at 14900 Lasater Road, Dallas, Texas 75235. Parents are
invited to
join us. If the children would like
to bring friends, they are welcome, too. Children who are not
accompanied by a parent or guardian will need a permission
slip. Please bring towels. Permission slips and maps are in
the Parlor. The Education Committee would like to get a head
count by the end of the Worship Service on Sunday, July 4,
2010. For additional information, please call Brent

Our
19th Anniversary Celebration a Great Time of
Fun
Our
thanks to Lance Ware for baking our beautiful
Anniversary cake. It was both beautiful and
delicious!.
Over 119 people
attended our special 19th Anniversary worship
service, and over 70 people enjoyed our
Anniversary potluck fellowship. We had a
great time of celebration and sharing, and with
lots of good food----so many dishes we couldn't
count them all. A highlight in the
celebration was the cutting of our anniversary
cake with our two newest members and one
of our members with a membership of 18 and
1/2 years doing the honors. We added
candles, and sang happy birthday to
our congregation. Our thanks to all
members and friends who cooked, baked, set up, and
cleaned up after our
fellowship.

If you
have volunteered in support of White Rock
Friend's in the past month then you've served in
an Activity Center without air conditioning. We
thank you for your continued support as we worked
to resolve this issue.
On Thursday, May
27th we had another set back in the Activity
Center and had a major water leak that
compromised the Boiler Room and the Friend's
Clothes Closet.
Two awesome things
happened on Wednesday, June 2nd -
Two of the last three coils on the planet that fit
our very old air conditioner were delivered and
the technicians started to work on the air
conditioning.
And then the most amazing,
wonderful, God thing has happened!
Pastor Douglas reached out to
DIFFA Dallas for guidance in finding some funding
to repair the air conditioner and plumbing. He was
notified by the National Board of DIFFA that
"DIFFA Dallas is happy to help them out during
their crisis and hope that this money helps them
to sustain their mission in serving their
clients".
Their donation covered almost
all of our anticipated repair expenses. Thank you
DIFFA! So to all of you who have shared in the
service and joy of White Rock Friends- Thank you.
Thank you for doing whatever is needed so
that we can do what we do for the Lord and for our
