Franklin Anthony Martin

(July 17, 1945 - April 20, 2011)

Franklin A. Martin, 65, of Mesquite, TX died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at his home in Mesquite, TX.

Frank was born July 17, 1945 to George L. and Ruth C. (May) Martin in Fondoulac, WI.

Survivors include two sons, Allan Martin and Cody (Mikie) Martin both of Amarillo, TX; a daughter, Charmin Martin (Phillip Skaggs) of Hobbs, NM; two brothers, Henry (Mickie) Martin of Lubbock, TX and Roy (Marjorie) Martin of Los Lunos, NM; a sister, Sue Fenn of Clovis, NM.; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends in Mesquite, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth; a son, Michael Martin.

Frank had retired on disability in the late 1980’s, but had worked part time at several local establishments in the Dallas and Mesquite areas. He really enjoyed visiting, eating or just having coffee with his friends in East Dallas and Mesquite.  He always enjoyed returning home to his two companions, Chihuahuas ‘Rose’ and ‘Thumper’.

To those of us who remember him from years gone by, will recall his very ‘dry’ sense of humor, his fervor for practical jokes and his intense love of family and friends.

A small memorial service will be held at the White Rock Community Church ‘Chapel’ in Dallas.

Family Arrangements and services in Clovis, NM are pending: by Muffley Funeral Home, Inc. (575) 762-4435, www.muffleyfuneralhome.com.
