In this first area are the Administrative Committees. These positions will be filled with “Active” WRCC members as defined by WRCC Membership Policy. Spouses of Pastors are restricted from serving on any Administrative Committee. Couples are restricted from serving on the same Administrative Committee.

Finance Committee: Oversee, direct and administer the total
financial program of the church and prepare annual budget. Meets 3rd Monday
of each month @ 6:30 pm

Nominating Committee: Review, nominate and replace members for the Committees, Ministries and Officers of the church. Meets 1st Sunday of each month after service.

Personnel Committee: Establish policies pertinent to employees of the church, conduct annual performance evaluations. Meets 1st Sunday of each month after service, as needed.

Policies and Procedures Committee: Recommend, clarify, interpret and review rules, policies and procedures of the church and its committees and ministries. Meets 2nd Wednesday of each month.

In this area are the Operational and Ministry Committees. You can only serve on a maximum of two of these committees as a Member, or on one (1) if you have already chosen an Administrative Committee. You can serve on additional Operational and Ministry Committees, but only as a Volunteer.

Choir Council: Provide guidance, leadership, and pastoral care to the members of the Sanctuary Choir and organizational support to the Minister of Music. Participation in the choir is a prerequisite. Meets 1st Wednesday. (sign up to participate in the choir below)

Communications Committee: Inform the community at large of regular and special activities of the church utilizing internal and external communication. Meets 3rd Thursday evening of each month.

Facilities / Grounds Committee: Administer the operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, space, furnishings and equipment of the Church and assist with various projects. Meets 1st Saturday @ 10 am.

Friends Committee: Serve the HIV / AIDS Outreach Ministry in setting and achieving its goals and objectives to meet the needs of their clients. Meets 3rd Saturday of each month @ 2 pm.

Worship Committee: Evaluates, researches, develops and plans Worship Services. Meets 1st Saturday of each month at 9am.

Couples Ministry Committee: Provides support to couples through social activities and biblical studies. Meets 2nd Sunday of each month.

Drama Ministry Committee: Develop dramatic presentations to share the word of God. Standard meeting time to be announced.

Floral Committee: Secure, arrange and dispose of floral arrangements used for Worship Services. Meets as needed.

Library Committee: Act as curator for the Library including books, audio and video tapes, reference materials and historical artifacts. Standard meeting time to be announced.

Outreach Committee: Coordinate the growth of the church through new members and retention of current members. Meets 1st Saturday of each month @ 11 am.

Prayer and Retreat Ministry: Compile and maintain weekly prayer list, act upon prayer requests, conduct special prayer sessions and increase an awareness of the importance of continuous prayer in the life of the church body, and plan and execute all church-wide retreats. Meets 1st Sunday of each month.

Friends Ministry Volunteer: Staffing the General Store which provides goods and services to people living with HIV and assists with preparation and serving of meals on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Meets Tues or Sat mornings
Front Office Volunteer: General clerical, phone answering and data input assistance to the church staff. You determine when!
